Small Character (Continuous) Ink-Jet Printers
Linx Systems use advanced printhead technology and a wide range
of fast-drying inks to produce 1/32" to 3/4" tall near
letter-quality characters, high-density logos, and reliable bar
codes on most porous and non-porous surfaces. These simple and easy-to-use
non-contact coding systems print up to four lines of high-quality
type at speeds to match the fastest production lines.
Cost-Effective Systems
Consistently high print quality and reliable, non-stop operation
are ensured by the systems' rugged construction and unique print
control systems. Fully interchangeable printheads allow for fast
and easy print size range changes. Simple message programming, push-button
start and stop, modular design for easy serviceability, automatic
flushing of the printhead on shutdown, and full self-diagnostics
all minimize labor costs and production downtime.
Customized Solutions
An expert Diagraph representative can analyze your coding needs
and recommend the solution that best fits your application. They
will match the proper system controller to your production environment,
line speed, bar coding, networking, message configuration and storage
capacity needs, and the right ink base, color, and print size to
your surface, dry time, and legibility needs.
Simple
Printhead Design Delivers
Reliability and Flexibility |
The
advanced, yet simple, printhead design has no moving parts for
less maintenance and increased reliability. The printhead is
protected by a stainless steel casing and is hermetically sealed
for very effective operation in harsh production environments
containing high humidity, fine powders, and dust.
The printhead is available in Micro, Midi and Macro print size
options. These fully interchangeable printheads can be easily
changed in minutes to provide a total range of character sizes
from 1/32" (.08 mm) to over 3/4" (19.05 mm). |
Unique
Print Control Technology Provides
Superior Print Quality Automatically and Continuously |
LINX
high-speed non-contact printhead technology generates a stream
of uniformly sized droplets at a rate of up to 120,000 per second.
The electronically charged drops pass through deflector plates
where an electric field deflects them to the surface to form
the desired print pattern.
Built-in automatic controls make the system very easy to operate
and maintain optimum printhead performance, even under fluctuating
environmental conditions. This eliminates any manual adjustments
or skilled operator involvement.
For example, the unique Automodulation sensor automatically
regulates drop formation and the Time-Of-Flight sensor controls
ink viscosity by constant jet speed measurement at the printhead.
These self-checking systems continuously make automatic adjustments. |

A
Wide Variety of Fast-Drying Inks |
Choose
from a full-range of general-purpose inks in several colors
including a high-performance odor-free ink designed as
an alternative for MEK-based inks. We also offer a wide
variety of inks specially formulated for specific surfaces
like PVC, plastic, glass and metal. Other special-purpose
inks include pigmented for dark surfaces, alkali-removable
for temporary coding, UV-readable for security coding,
and thermochromic for temperature-sensitive color change. |
 |
Print
product identification, price, date, batch, lot, shift,
and bar codes on virtually all porous and non-porous
surfaces of any shape or texture. Applications include
food and beverage product packages, electronic and automotive
parts, cosmetics and pharmaceutical product packages. To
ensure visibility on hard-to-mark, dark surfaces print
your codes with our fast-drying pigmented inks.
Screw-in solvent
and ink bottles allow quick, no-mess refill while printing.
Solvent includes make-up and wash solutions to simplify
operation. Condenser unit and air control valve minimize
solvent evaporation and significantly reduce consumables
costs. |
